The 2024 Monarch Volunteer Program (MVP) will take place on Thursday, August 22nd and Friday, August 23rd.
The Monarch Volunteer Program is designed to provide incoming ODU students the chance to meet fellow Monarchs and get involved in our local community, all before classes even begin!

Frequently Asked Questions
Any incoming student who is new to ODU can participate, including transfer students and incoming students not living on campus.
First year students will participate in Housing & Residence Life move-in as scheduled for their on-campus housing assignment.
Any questions regarding your assignment, please connect with HRL directly. There is no early move-in for MVP volunteers for the 2024 program, as the 2024 program takes place on Thursday and Friday, August 22nd and 23rd.
Commuter students are welcome to participate! Please fill out the above form in order to proceed with registration.
Service projects vary from year to year depending on the needs of the community. A variety of projects will be arranged and students will get a chance to sign up for the service project of their choice on a first-come, first-serve basis. Past projects have included community clean ups, working at homeless shelters, in community gardens, with the elderly, and in animal shelters.
